My hat's in the ring! Have a close friend that lives near there for the pick up. We'll see how it pans out. Happy bidding!

Edit: I see that the woofers do need a re-foam.

Yeah, I'm one of the people that asked for additional pictures...I was hoping this thread would fade away!

Oh Well

I see where they have handles attached to them which is not a good sign. Also, what's the story with the terminals?

I saw those handles...I had to take a chance on them, I got them for $150, I think it's a pretty good deal. I just hope they didn't butcher the cabinets putting those funky connectors on the back, I'll find out when I pick them up on Monday.
I'd like to thank Sansushi for drawing them to my attention!

glad an AKer got them. i hope they sound and look great after a little work and tlc. congrats india

I had to give up at $141 for logistical reasons, and am kind of regretting my decision. Congratulations india42, and please, please keep us posted on your findings. Also, thanks Sansushi, for bringing this to our attention.

Sure, I picked them up today. The bad news is the cabinets are a little beat, the good news is the drivers are perfect, I mean except for the woofers needing a re-foam. I've seen worse cabinets, and these would be great if they didn't screw handles on the sides and locking electrical plugs on the back. The screws on the back don't bother me, but they had to put 4 screws on 2 sides of each cabinet. I suppose I should be grateful, I mean the handles might have saved them from ever being dropped.
Anyway, I've already ordered the foam from Mr. Cobb, can't wait to get these up and running. I have a set of l110's that I love, and when I saw this post, I really wanted to try these...should be a step up for sure! I'll try to get some pictures up, probably start a thread in the "Speakers" section in the next few days.

No regrets satelite!
Glad to hear drivers appear to be in good shape. India, I've never heard the 4411 and look forward to hearing your opinion of them.
I do have a pair of 4412a without the tone controls and still haven't quite gotten them to sound right in my space. They are a little bright for me in the upper mid range and stereo imaging isn't as good as my L5s.

$150 for JBL 4411s is an official scroe! Even with the work you will need to put into the cabinets.

Moscow is a nice little town and the U of I campus is beautiful. I used to live close to there when I was a little kid.
I wish now I would have kept bidding as $150 is a great price. I thought they would go for twice that.

Yes! I attended college at U of I right after high school. Have a lot of great memories although some are quite hazy :smoke:. Last time I was up there, I was kind of bummed that my old dorm building had been completely demolished.
