Listening to them would be the key before I would buy them. They "upgraded" them to 16 ohms and the woofers are not correct to the original. I believe the original woofer is a 2234H which are very rare as I think they only used them in the 4435? Again, I would need to listen to them first. Helluva' speaker in stock form!:yes:

I was wondering about that 'upgrade' because I would think most buyers would desire originality over a supposed upgrade.

I certainly would especially if I were a collector. Not having the original woofers would lower the price substatially in my opinion. Sounds like they messed with the crossovers as well which usually isn't fatal. They may sound great and make someone very happy.

There was a pair in Phoenix available for less than half that price recently and they were in mint condition. I saw them but didn't hear them. Those have been on the bay for a long time.
