Hello my dad and me found a pair of jbl 4800 speakers at a thrift store that we bought for 15 dollars. We hooked them up to find that both tweeters were not working on either speaker. is there anyone who haveoriginals? they are Jbl pure titanium tweeters.upload_2017-3-5_13-15-54.png

Check ebay, you'll be looking for JBL 70740. They used the same tweeter on the entire line, so there should be quite a few around. I wouldn't personally spend too much on saving these however.

Why they seem to have been on Jbl's High end back in 89? and we have been looking on ebay and there is none we would have to by the whole speaker and my dad doesn't want that

OK, you've done the basic check. What I'd do is set up a watched search on eBay, some will probably come up sooner or later. But keep in mind that you'll probably spend more for the tweeters than you did purchasing the speakers in the first place.

Yes we know but it's worth it because there the only speakers that we can't blow out with our 150 watt per channel kenwood amplifier
