JBL 6X12 Clone Waveguide, Eminence H290S , Pi H290C and Others Compared

The Pi Speakers H290C Waveguide is a variation on the Eminence H290 WG with the primary
difference being that the Eminence is close to an OS taper and the H290C makes it true OS.
The differences are described in this thread provided by @safebet :

EMINENCE H290S
Here's the stock Eminence H290S (S for screw on CD) I did not like the horizontal beaming at 10KHz
with even more above. For me the question is, once the speakers are properly toed in
How far off axis is the sweet spot and we should have good coverage by the WG to 10 KHz
as a minimum, 12 KHz pretty good, and 15 KHz even better. Thinking more perhaps we
should use the off axis angle to one seat further off axis on the thinking that at least one
seat on either side of the sweet spot should have full frequency response.

Pi SPEAKERS H290C
The Pi Speakers H290C is a bolt in improvement for the Eminence H290. The true OS curve is a big
improvement over the stock curve above. It has very good performance to 14KHz, and excellent from
there down to 3.5K, but not very good below 2 KHz.
One could cross probably as low as 1.5 KHz where the WG and woofer would each be 6 dB down and a
12" woofer or smaller will have reasonably wide dispersion to help fill in the narrowing pattern. This should
be checked since I've not looked at woofer polars in a long time, but a 12" will be better than a 15" anyway.

Note that the vertical polars are quite narrow and for this reason and that the H290C narrows below 3.5KHz
makes the JBL 6x12 Clone a better choice:

JBL 6x12 PT WAVEGUIDE CLONE
Here's the same for the JBL 6X12 no-name clone that has a response closer to the real JBL.
Note in the colored plot that it has red amplitude at 30 deg off all the way to 15KHz, it has red
at 25 deg off axis to 20KHz. It is quite flat from 5 to 10KHz:

In my opinion the JBL 6x12 Clone WG is the best in this group even ignoring price
having red output to 40 deg off axis solidly from 2K to 10KHz, and having 30 deg to
about 15KHz. It is also far less expensive than the Pi Speakers H290C.

I'm going to continue this thread by including any WG that I consider having good enough polars at a decent
price such that I might buy it.

Just noticed in better light that the red pinches down around 5KHz to 30 deg JBL6x12 clone does better
still quite good:
