JBL Control 10s as studio monitors?

Hi, all. I do some home recording - mostly through AKG 240 headphones or my trusty old Tannoy PBM 6.5 monitors. I've been looking for something a little more serious. I came across a pair of JBL Control 10 monitors.

I understand (from AK forums) that these are designed to be control room speakers -- not necessarily for critical listening for mixes, but I wonder if they might be good enough? The Control 10s are not cheap: I think I can get them for 250 for the pair. Thoughts?

JBL says they have 'forward voicing', do you want that? They are designed to go very loud and cut through noisy environments.
