Any chance of somewhat reviving this thread to ask a couple crossover questions? I'm now trying these drivers and crossovers on my horn setup. :scratch2:

Jay, I think you're going to have better luck with those than me - your scoops should be pretty awesome. I got the horns to sound really nice, but they never played well with my Barzilay bottom end. I'm still pretty sure it had everything to do with the size of my room and the cabinets not being finished out properly.

Cool, basically what I'm trying to do is this; I've got homebrew JBL 4530 scoops, loaded with Altec drivers (help me out with the number Nate). On top are 511Bs that used to have 902s crossed at 500hz, but now have these BMS drivers and Nates modified crossovers. Is there anything I need to do with the crossovers considering the different bottoms? I also have some Emilar 800 series horns that I wanted to try out as well, to see if I liked them better than the 511s. I guess I'm just looking for suggestions from those who understand these things. I'll try to find the woofer numbers if Redboy doesn't chime in. Thanks in advance, Jay

The crossovers should work fine.

I believe we put L-pads in them for balancing, no?

The Barzilays need extended-bass woofers such as 2235H or LE14s.

D130s will not make low bass in a ported cabinet.

Ultimately, they were relegated to service as musical instrument speakers, guitar, primarily.

Yep, we put nice L-pads in them. I was on the hunt for more appropriate woofers when everything took a serious detour - I heard my 2A3 amp on some Tannoys, and I haven't looked back.
