Anyone know what sub might be in this thing? I am guessing it is a 15", but have no clue on model or value...

They look like from PA speakers like JRX100, 115 etc...
Great for party but not home music.

Thanks! Guy is asking $50, and I was thinking the woofer might work well when I build my next home theater sub. But, if this is low on the JBL totem pole, I'll pass.

You can sell that for over $100 or even $150 as it is.
JBL JRX 115 usually sells for $300 each new.

Problem is that's a TR125, not a JRX115.

And, yes, those too sell for stupid money. A pair just recently sold for 650 on ebay. I remember when Musician's Friend sold them new for 299/pr................. and that was overpriced.

its a crime they have the JBL name on them.

Disagree.
They are different purpose speakers.
They are very good for DJ and parties.
I bought a pair of JRX115 with horn and 15" woofer (TR series was older I think) from GC $400 pair and did few party gigs powered with Mackie FR2500 (575 wpc).
They did excellent job for that purpose.
They are not made to use in home for critical listening.

Janik,
If you need a party speaker and don't want to use nice ones, this one alone will suffice for backyard or pool parties.

This is absolutely true for 95% of the speakers ever made by JBL. But TR's sound bad, they are offensively inaccurate and colored IMO.

There are much better sounding PA speakers out there to be had for less money. People foolishly pay far too much for this slag based solely on the JBL nameplate.

That is probably true but we are talking $50.00 in this case. It would probably take more than $50.00 just to make that cabinet.

Is that sale for one or for a pair?
