JBL HP88F opinions?

I’m pretty new to the audiophile sphere and picked these up for free (in excellent working condition), and was just wondering if I could find insight from others who have owned.

Not common here in the states at all. Supposedly less than 1500 pair sold here .
at 55 lbs each not too shabby.
Lots of great reviews about the smooth mids and highs, Mixed on Bass output.
with the rear ports, Placement for bass support is everything
Nothing beats Free! I'm sure they have nice drivers in them. They can easily
handle 250 watts. Enjoy them

Wow, didn’t expect them to be anything special! They’re definitely nicer than what I had before (some Klipsch Kg .5 Bookshelf Speakers) but not sure my current setup can accommodate their size. Will probably end up passing them along but for now they sound pretty sweet
