Heard a lot of good things about these JBL's. The price looks right.

I have been looking for the 8" woofer from those for my L3s. They seem to be rare as I have only seen the woofers listed on that site a few times. That should be a great deal if they are in good working condition.

I have L5s, L7s, and L1s. The L5s are fantastic speakers in nearly any application. Easy to place and easy to power. At this price someone should just jump on them and ask questions later. I drove eight-hours out of my way four years ago to get a pair for $200 before I'd even heard any. No regrets today.

Remind me to never look at CL again :D

I don't know how you could have resisted in the first place.

They'll not hold much water compared to your other Ti's, but for $175, even for as much as $400, they're an awesome set of speakers. Very undervalued. Make for a great 3rd room or part of a good HT setup.

You know you want them. When you don't want to fire up the 240Ti's, put the L5's on. I used to own a pair of L5's and regretted selling them. Kept my eyes peeled since then, and found a pair of L7's a couple of months back...

That depends on which Ti's your talking about. 250Ti? Sure. 240ti/120ti? You'd be surprised how well they might stand-up.

So, I guess I screwed up when I passed on L-7s for $200 in the local area?
You can't be serious? I buy every pair of L7s I can find within 100 miles for $200. That's two pair so far! :thmbsp:

L3's have a reputation for going through woofers. Get the L5's and use the L3 drivers as spares for them.

I heard that before. If they are the same woofer, why do the L3s "go through" them more than the L5s or L7s? Does it have something to do with the X-over?

I got mine for free from a CL posting. I had to drive 90 miles, but I figured it was worth it. I was lucky to be the first to respond since BMWCCA (has posted on this thread) informed me that he lost out. I am keeping my eyes peeled for the replacement woofer...L3 L5 L7 none of them seem to come up that often.
