It's not that big of a deal, really. There's hardly ever any of either that come up around this area and the L1's just happened to. There's a set of L20t's an hour away for $200 but I'm not buying anything extra for the living room as it's only going to be for area filling music and maybe TV sound once in awhile. My wife would rather have a soundbar for aesthetic reasons, anyway. I can buy Klipsch for below sheet cost from a number of dealers I know in OK, AR, and north TX. The L1's will most likely go upstairs with me for occasional use.
 
One thing to keep in mind is the baffles are slanted. I had the same experience, then I built some stands about 2 1/2 feet tall so the tweeter are not pointed above my head. That and a six band EQ [the bass was too overblown on mine]. They are phenomenal now. Was going to rebuild the crossover, not
