Wait a minute. The very first off the line had the 3 speakers in line. That is what I remember. Check Lansing Heritage web site for more info.

I think you're correct. They do have the black labels which I believe are earlier.
I certainly no JBL expert but I enjoy my L100's :music:

Correct. These are L100A models as evidenced by the small A at the end of the serial numbers and the clustered appearance that mimics the 4310 and 4311 Studio Monitors that the L100A became associated with. The first L100's were vertically inline oriented. Some say they may image better but I haven't heard any to figure that out.

As L100A models, yes these would be very very early SN so sure, there's something for that from a collectable standpoint.
