JBL L100T3's-Are they worth a C-note?

There are a pair of these local to me that appear to be in great shape,disintegrating woofer foam not withstanding(I believe that I'm up to the task of a re-foam).The seller wants $100 for the pair.My "search"es kind of lead me to believe that,though nice,they aren't anything special.Certainly not like original L100s.

I'm currently listening to my pair of ratty looking but oh so good sounding TimeWindows.

John Lee Hooker,Cheap Trick,& Queensryche are the menu for tonight.

In every aspect, those loudspeakers in good operating condition will blow the doors off of the L100's in every aspect. There is no comparison.

P.S. A C note is a real bargain for these too.
 
L100T3's are worth 5 C-notes

Hi Jeff, not only are they worth $100, they are worth approximately 5 times that.

This assumes all drivers are functional and cabinetry in 9 out of 10 condition & up. The woofers will require new suspensions, even though the owner says only one needs replacement (assuming of course one hadn't been re-done).

If the units had been in regular use while the one woofer has had no suspension then lower your purchase price by $150.

Are you going to buy them?
 
Wow, I had once owned a L100T pair in the early 90s and regret selling them. I forgot what I paid new, but I know as a lowly-paid servicemember it was a nice big wad of cash...er.. credit back then :yes: They are definitely worth it :thmbsp:
