JBL L140 with MCS 3275

I found some JBL L140 speakers locally and they seem to be in excellent shape and for a decent price. It also looks like people generally like them quite a bit.

But I'm using a MCS 3275 receiver which is rated at 75w per channel. Is that too much for these speakers? I keep seeing different info on the specs and I don't want to take any unnecessary risks. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks!

No such thing as to much power. Just dont overdrive the speakers and you will be fine. Lots of headroom is a good thing. Speaker ohm rating, impedance and actual ohm measurements show demands WAY outside the typical rating when a big bass note or the like drop and the amp struggles to provide the current needed. As such low power amps are much more of a concern.

75 watts will not hurt almost any JBL's. But push that receiver into clipping will take out their tweeters.
Maybe L-40's?
