Hello fellow AK'ers!
I recently bought a pair of L166 Horizon , that seems to be in fair condition.
They were bought from the second owner of the set, and i paid ~$200 US.
Theres some work to be done.
The front covers needs a good dusting/cleaning and new linen cloth underneath.
The cabinets needed a couple hours of work with cleaning, sanding and oiling.
And lastly - One of the drivers (122A-1) needs new foam, but I am having a struggle to find the right foam anywhere online. I hope to get some help from a JBL guru for this part
What I know from research so far is, that 122A-1 was made with 244mm OR 238mm cones.
I measured both my drivers, and both have the 238mm (9.38 in) cones, which sadly is the one thats hard to get foam for?
The Outer roll diameter needs to be 273mm (10.75 in)
Does someone know what foam I should use for these?
Im also curious to hear about your JBL L166s and what I should expect from these
