AFAIK, it's one in the same. Just like the L100 and the Century L100. The website audioheritage.org is a wealth of information on JBL.

I recently purchased a re-surrounded pair of L26s off Ebay for local pickup and paid $26 including grilles and grille badges. The surrounds were even on the correct side! A friend recently purchased a pair off local CL and did a DIY re-surround and now has less than $60 in a nice pair. I doubt either of us would sell our L26s for what we have in them, and recent closed-sale figures from Ebay would put the value closer to $100. For that, I'd just keep them, if I were you.

Sometime in the mid/late seventies JBL moved from Casitas Ave. in Los Angeles to Northridge, a suburb. They redesigned the foilcal labels to say Northridge instead of LA, and for whatever reason dropped the names (Century / Decade / Summit / Horizon / Jubal etc.)
Any A's after the serial numbers notwithstanding, your "Model L26" should be identical to an older "Decade 26" except yours was assembled later, at the new factory. Yours probably came with "twist lock" binding posts (originally, at least) while Decades might have had the older spring-loaded style.
