I have found a pair of JBL L3 floor standing speakers locally. Has anyone heard these? What are they worth? The reviews on audioreview.com are quite favorable which really peaks my interest. Just wish they weren't black.. I would be pwer these with a Sansui 9090 or a Pioneer sx3800..

Seller is asking like 150 bucks for them.

I have a pair and they are excellent. I currently use them as the front speakers in a home theater setup (looking to replace them with L5s) and they have excellent frequency range. They are rated at 35hz to 27khz and they do every bit of it. IMO, they are well worth the $150 price. I paid $175 for mine and haven't regretted it at all.
 
I have a set, and they are very good performers. The price is not bad if they are in good condition. Note that they do come with plastic bases which normally get broken by folks. They have great bass, and clear mids and crisp highs. Thye don't take alot of power to drive. They are pretty rare, and i have been looking for a 2nd set for a long time.
