I've got a chance to pick up a pair of these, but have no idea what to offer $wise. I think I can get them for <$1000.00. Assuming they're in good shape & fully functional, how high would you go?

You know they normally are listed for $2,000 - $3,000. Less than a grand is a scroe!

Yes, if you can get them for under $1K you should be there by now. Typically I see them in the $3K range.

I paid $2500 + shipping for a really nice pair.

I think they are pretty old with serial number 10248 and 10252 -

The L300 was my Holy Grail for many decades. I watched them go from well-under $1000 to over $4000 to settling now under $3000 for excellent condition from realistic sellers. Anything under $2k is pretty much a scroe. Under $1k, you snooze and probably lose.

I found for just a bit more I could move up to the 4345 but then the sound was always more important to me than the aesthetic.:dunno:

If the seller has any clue as to their value your wasting his time and yours if you offer anything under $2,000.
