JBL L300

When I remove a woofer (such as the 2235H) I always run the screws back in about 3 turns so that I know they're solid before I try to release the frame from the baffle. This way it will come loose without dropping out or otherwise being damaged.

Once the woofer is loose, I remove the top screws first, the bottom last. The nearly 20# magnet and the rest of the weight being in the rear, it keeps the top in place and tends to swing out at the bottom if the bottom is removed first.

A bit of strength is necessary, bit if all is ready when the final screw is removed you aren't holding the weight for long.

Excellent tips, that is pretty much the way I did it, but the actual final removal and initial reinstallation can be rough.

I am able to put my left arm through the port past my elbow and then hold the magnet at the bottom while manipulating the driver. I am not a large person, so this approach will not work for everyone. If you can do it though, it works great.
 
These are what my wife found and bought a few months back. Woofers needed a refoam. Cabinets are nice and clean. We are replacing the grill cloth. Going from black to brown. They are sounding mighty nice.

Someone had the nerve to ask if the seller would take 100.00 for the speakers. She knew what she had, but wanted them gone. My wife and I drove the 150 miles 1 way to buy them.

The tables are actually built really well. We are going to unscrew the tall legs, and put some round decorator wooden feet on them. Waiting on grill cloth first. We have several 4 legged children here.
