Apparently, a very nice pair of JBL L46 for $80. I would get them since I'm in the neighborhood but not in a mood for an argument with my spouse.

She was nice to relinquish 3 baker's racks in the basement for my use. They're full of junk, er... priceless equipment right now. Something needs to leave before something else arrives.

There is a very nice pair at the local Salvation Army in my area but they wanted $125 for the pair. Too much...I'll give it a week and go back to see if they are still there. I wouldn't pay more than $50 for the pair, but that's just me.

How do these compare to 62's? I bought a set at the flea market for the garage system. Titanium tweeters and I think the woofer cone is some sort of composite. Quite happy with the sound.

Different animal. I'd say the L46 has better cabinet & grille construction, and a stronger low end (larger cabinets, too). The 62 (T?) would have better high-frequency extension, but the L46's 034 tweeter is still usable for most. I like both speakers, but would probably hold on to the L46s given the choice.
