I'm thinking of to recap my L46 speakers and I have a couple of questions.
The crossover have three bigger caps 2*14uf and one 7uf and also couple of small bypass caps 0.68uf.
The shop near to me don't have exactly the same value caps but if I would like to put something better they have Audyn Q4 MKP High End caps.
I could combine 10uf with 3.9uf and also 6.8uf with 0.82uf?
Those audyn caps have 400v and the original have 100v is that an issue?
And what about those bypass caps, what if I put the originals back, and does it matter if the bypass caps have a different voltage than the bigger one?
Or should I take them out because I'm already putting better caps but then again if those speakers have been designed that way I feel like I should but them back or replace them too?
I know that adding small bypass cap with electrolytic cap it kind of makes it better but could there be any downsides putting them back with new better cap?
Also I found from some old thread that someone suggested to change that small inductor too but how do I know what is the right inductor because there is no information about the values?
What about the resistor, it says 5,1ohms 10w. Does it have to be exactly the same value?
And one final thing, I found out that with higher volume with some particular frequencies the tweeter buzz little bit, I think it vibrates against the cabinet because there isn't any casket, I was thinking to put some sort of casket there, has anyone else had that problem?
