JBL L96 Speakers Fair Value

[byoung334]

I have an opportunity to pickup a pair of JBL L96 speakers. The cabinets and grills are flawless. The speakers are excellent, with refoamed woofers, excellent job done. Tweeters and mids look excellent.

So what's the verdict??

I,myself would not go over $300,but thats only my opinion.

Agreed, $300 would be a fair price (certainly not a steal) for a pair in the condition you described.

Have you listened to them? Keep in mind they will sound different in your home with your music and your electronics, but at least make sure they are functional. Don't forget to check the mid and tweet level controls too.

Personally, I'd offer $300 but I'd go up to $400 for a pair in tippy top shape, I have a soft spot for the L96 (& L112) .

I agree with the consensus. Considering you don't have to pay for, or hassle with, shipping and if the condition is truly as described, up to $400.

I'd never sell mine for anything less, if that tells you something!
