JBL LE14C speakers good with a SET amp?

A friend of mine has a pair of these speakers, and he is looking for a new amp for them. They are 1960s JBL - so, I am assuming they should be efficient enough for a SET amp. Anybody heard these speakers on a SET amp? If not, has anybody heard any good amp synergies with these speakers?

I have a pair of LE14C loooong years in use. I have used it with NAD3020 Solid State - (20 Watts RMS/channel/8 ohms) and currently a Prima Luna Dialogue Two with valves KT-88 (13 watts RMS/channel/8 ohms in mode triodo) .
I think even a 300 B ( 8 watts ) has a SPL more than enough for a homely, but could not say one 2A3, ( 2.5 watts ? ) are about 6 db difference ....
JBL LE14C efficiency is 80 dB/1 watt/5 meters ! :thmbsp:

1 meter calculation:

80 db a 4.60 mts
86 db a 2.30 mts
89 db a 1.15 mts
91.5 db a 1.00 mts
95 db a 0.75 mts
