Hey guys, My dad has a pair of JBL LX-55s hes had for the past 30 years or so, hes taken good care of them, however the right speakers foam is pretty beat up and the speaker makes some pretty disconcerting (Sounds like the coil rubbing) noises at low frequencies. I was wondering how hard it is to refoam these and whether or not this ( http://www.amazon.com/Speaker-Foam-Edge-Repair-FSK-10A/dp/B009DNLCGQ )kit will work. I'm only 17 but have offered to repair them for him.
I know that the foam for these goes to the back of the cone so I think thats all I have to look out for.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
