I looked at both pictures.Unless tubed put the three finger prints in the same spot on the lens,I'd say this story has had a happy AK ending. . :yes:

The ad was was an hour old by the time I left a message about how overjoyed I'd be if i could pick them up at the owners convinence, all along harboring serious doubts as to the availability of the speakers and authenticity of the ad.

The owner called an hour later just as i was stepping out the door for a hike. He said he'd call around 5pm after he returned from an appointment. Okay....

Again just as I was leaving the house around 7:30, I received a call asking if I was still interested and if so, come get them.
The journey was only to Pasadena but with FRWYs jammed with The Breeders Cup Classic and Rose Bowl football traffic. Plus bad directions:sigh:

I eventually prevailed all the while thinking it could be a hoax

Don't DOT3. DOT3 will bleed onto the cone and cause loss of stiffness and eventually rot. Much better to replace them.

BTW, how you got them and a certain dealer we know didn't is a major coup. I was going to call around to see who got them...

May I ask, the condition of them, and is there and LE 85 or 375 behind the lens? I was 2nd in line if you did not pick them up. Glad they went to an AK'er
