JBL PSW-1000 subwoofer

Anyone here have any experience/opinions on the JBL PSW-1000 subwoofer? Reviewers on the site below seem to like it, but I can't find any info on this site. I'm looking to hook it up to a pair of Dynaco A-25 speakers. I have an opportunity to pick one up very cheaply ($60). I figure if I don't like it I can always sell it for that price easily. Any other suggestions for a used or new good sounding sub matchup for my Dynaco's?

Yep, I've got one on my main system, providing some extra kick below 90hz. It's running independent so my Cerwin Vega AT-10's get a full range signal. For $60, I'd grab it without hesitation. For a 10" powered sub, it's pretty good!
 
JBL PSW1000.....Yes!

Howdy, raymeedc .... I just noticed this thread.... I have 2 of these.......

I think that they perform very well. I recently loaned mine out to my buddy who runs a sports bar. He bought a pair of the infamous Insignias (yes,the BB famous models) to use for TV audio. My JBLs were just sitting in storage, so....

We hooked 'em up, one on each channel ( Hi-level input, 1L ,1R) X-over at about 110 Hz. Well, they ROCKED the house!!! ( er,...bar) The place seats about 85, about 100' x 50' deep, minus 25% kitchen space.

BASS....all the way to the deepest corner......I ran just music thru the rig one night, with a little different EQ curve than "movie" setting, very satisfying......

I'm a fan......hope you followed thru...........willhowl:yes:

P.S. Good match for Dynacos, I'm thinking....

IT'S A 17 YEARS OLD MODEL AND IT BLOWS AWAY MOST OF THE NEWER BUILDS HANDS DOWN.
BTW - I WAS A JBL Factory Rep for 5 great years in my youth. Great people Great sound Great company.
.....too bad all the great walnut vener days ended.
L112 (Pro 4412) is the best studio monitor ever built in the history of the world. hahahahaaa. But I am SERIOUS. It is.
