JBL score...

BHamm

The pendulum swings.
I got lucky last weekend and found a pair of JBL 4430's located 130 miles away in the Bay area.

Very little info was provided prior to buying them, but I took the chance anyways.

I wound up with a very nice mirror imaged pair with grills. :thmbsp:

These damn things are huge--127 lbs. and 36" inches tall.

The guy selling them had 5 total he used for a home theater set up.

They are replacing a set of JBL 4425's I was using, and are similar in sound to the 4425's with a larger sound stage and deeper, harder hitting bass.

I am in JBL heaven! :music:

I have a confession to make: I have never heard a pair of JBL speakers. Those look really cool, though.

Spalls you owe it to yourself to sip the JBL koolaid. Made me into an ex east coast sound guy. :)

I agree, I used to really like my AR-3s, but the 4312as I picked up a few weeks ago have really changed my preference at the moment.

That JBL kool-aid is some strong stuff.

Wonderful score!. I love butt cheeks. An audiophile girl geek had a CL moving sale with various equipment for sale. She had pair of JBL butt cheeks in her living room she would not sell, however, I was allowed to audition them. Nice sounding but would have been better raised off the hardwood floor.
