JBL Speakers and Yamaha Subwoofer - $150

http://newjersey.craigslist.org/ele/1362505716.html

"I have two jbl northridge n3811 speakers and a yamaha yst-sw305 subwoofer which has dual 8" subs. The cabinets aren't mint but in decent shape, but the speakers work perfect. I'm trying to buy a car and need money, and I don't have room for big speakers in my new apartment. I can be reached at 201-321-7182 ask for Ben"

I'd appreciate any info on the vintage and quality of the JBL's--same for the Yamaha sub, too.

Thanks,

Sublover

Definitely not a bad deal for both. In fact, it's pretty good. Depends on how much stuff you currently have in your system. I'd expect the servo controlled dual-8" sub to be pretty powerful and the JBL northridge series is very respectable (I've heard northridge bookshelves that sounded very good for being somewhat 'entry-level').

You could justify that you are paying $75 for the JBL's and $75 for the sub in which case they would both be extremely good buys no matter how you slice it. Maybe not like walking to Goodwill and finding a pair of famous altec's for $10 but you get the idea.

You could do a lot worse for the money that is for certain. Maybe try to talk him down to $125 if you're feeling lucky.
