JBLs from 1958.. what model?

Looks to be a variant of the C38 Baron.

Below is a link to the Lansing heritage site regarding the tweeters, and the Allied electronics catalog archives site. The second page of the tweeter info includes information regarding how they can be mated with the D130s for a two way system. JBL sold speaker systems and components, and depending on your budget and desires you could set them up a few different ways. These may have been purchased as a kit from one of the several catalog distributors of electronics parts such as Allied and I believe Knight. They sold cabinets/enclosures and all of the parts to assemble the speakers. It was a common way people built speakers during that era, and likely how those were assembled. Page 57 of the 1958 Allied catalog linked below indicate that it might be known as a type 030. They list a kit with these components in the lower right hand corner of the page in the box.

Very interesting, thanks for the info. They certainly look nice. Any idea what these "kit" speakers might sound like? Well regarded?

030 driver load. Box is small for a D130, much like some of JBL's own furniture.

2-way with horn/15 inch woofer.I had jbl's earlier set of drivers the 003 load in a home buildt cabinet,the 130a 15 inch woofer with the dlh 175 potatoe masher horn.
Was knee deep in my Fisher 50a builds and needed cash so sold the horn{800.00} still have the 130a woofer needing a recone kit.
With tube amps I absolutely loved the sound.I compared them at the time to my big EV interface D's and they more than held their own providing a bit bigger soundstage.
I saw these advertised earlier as well and got an ichy finger.I heard that this speaker load doesn't quite match up to the earlier 003 load but im sure they would still sound delightful behind a good pair of vintage tube mono amps

The 075 isn't a horn in the traditional sense of the 375/175 "Potato Masher" type. It's a ring radiator diaphragm with a bullet phase plug. Kind of a unique animal.

Probably Barzilay cabinets.

On second look, the nailheads are visible and the wood looks like primavera, so a very solid set of homemade cabinets.
