Japanese Pioneer PD-T0x CD Players
Anyone have any opinions on or experience with the Japanese Domestic Market Pioneer PD-T0x series stable platter CD players? Specifically the PD-T07, PD-T07S and PD-T07HS but also looking at the higher end 09 and the lower end 04, etc. I am considering buying one off Yahoo Japan auctions. I understand JDM equipment will plug into our electrical outlets without need for a voltage converter. Mains power in Japan is 100V/50Hz and 100V/60Hz and uses the US standard NEMA type A two pin plug. Could I use these on US power?
I think these units are comparable to the US market Elite PD-65 and PD-75 models. Are they?
How do these players sound? How about reliability or parts availability? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I plan to use the CD player in a Pioneer SPEC system driving Cerwin Vega PD-9's, hence my desire for the champagne/silver JDM models.
Thanks,
Martin
