I went ahead and built a JM 604E XO for my Altec 604d/620 project.

So far it sounds more than fine. However the EQ adjustments for MF and HF seem a bit subtle. The recapped N1600 might be less sophisticated, but it seems more direct.

Subtle?? Yes, I think so.

Here are Jeff Markwart's own comparisons of the N1500 ( with & without ) the 30923 EQ section.

I know I would have a hard time hearing much difference ( if solely based on these traces ).
