Jensen 3-way speakers, $40 mke cl

Each cabinet has matching Jensen "Special Design" speakers: a 12 inch woofer, 6-1/2 inch midrange and 3 inch tweeter. Speakers are all in perfect condition. Cabinets have some scuffs and scratches, but are by no means unattractive. Grill cloth is in excellent condtition.

These stand 24 inches tall by 14 inches wide and are 13 inches deep.

Price of $40.00 for the pair is firm.

Anyone know anything about these or thoughts on the price?

Bump before this disappears off the first page - I'm going to demo them but I'd be interested in people's thoughts on these/Jensen loudspeakers in general if you have any experience.

I listened to a pair of vintage Jensens right out of highschool, 1977, new at the time. Not sure of the model # but that vintage (77) and the speakers I heard where very good as far as I can recollect, but my ear was not as educated as they are now. Back then all I cared about was SP. I ended up not being able to afford them but they were nice. CC

I had a pair of Jensen Model 4's (a little later vintage than the ones you're asking about, probably, I think mine were like 1971). Got them at SA for $20. Really well-made, 3-ways, beautiful cabs. They were very nice, balanced speakers, did a lot of things really well. I finally sold them when I got my Ar-2ax's and had too many speakers and not enough space, but I still miss them sometimes. I think vintage Jensens are highly underrated.
