Jensen Imperial crossover query.

So a few years back I was asked to remove a pile of speaker cabinets from the premises of a local church. They had retired their organ decades ago and were just getting around to Jerking the cabinets out of the attic, which had been built as a giant organ speaker... Ever walked arround inside a speaker? Anywho, once I got it all out and into the light of day I realized I had really scored.
It was all vintage Jensen, and untouched since it was installed.
I parted it all out, sold a lot of it and saved the majority of the parts necessary to construct a set of Imperial Reproducers.
I have:
2 RP-302 alnico super tweeters
2 RP-201 alnico mud horns
2 A-640 crossovers
2 A-402 crossovers
A handful of 15" woofers which are not ideal for the cabinet.

My question is, the original pamphlet shows a level control on the mid and high frequency units, after the crossover. What value is that level control?

Before I commit to buying a dozen sheets of plywood, I want to have some idea what it is I'm getting myself into.

Since I don't have LF units yet, I am seriously thinking about the Jensen F15LL as a contender with a 350 or 400v on the field.

That should pull the bass out of my Bunny Wailer albums yes?

Any info or advice is much appreciated as always.

The man on the front of that catalog, he must be 9 feet tall. The top of the imperial at 5'7" is at his waist. Holy cow!

Like most sales flyers, they give part numbers but not part values.
Perhaps I need to buy a pair, and measure them. My guess would be that they are under 20 ohms. Sure would be nice to find out for certain. I'm really excited to build em.

I wish I had easy access to my triplex so I could help but it's buried in my shed with no easy access until spring.
 
there you go then.i usally check hifilit as its been one of my goto pages for years.
as for the lf just stick to the original and find some p15LL.
 
Yeah. This level of stuff is legendary, i sometimes dont feel like i own it but rather i steward it into the next generation. When life throws you a complete pair of Imperials, you build them. These will be my first real full size speakers, and will probably be my last speakers. They will replace a pair of EV Aristocrat cabinets, which have their back loaded horn tuned to something like 40 hz. The Jensen by comparison is tuned to 16 hz. When i come home with a truck full of plywood, ill post about it. Right now, im blowing smoke. Look through my threads and you'll see i do blow smoke... But i also, eventually build things, once i have all the info and s solid plan.

i blow smoke as well judging by all the projects i have lying around here.(including but not limited to my jensen triplex refurb and getting a cabinet built for my altec 604 b which matching n100b crossover.i also have a pair of bozak B4000 symphonies in the moorish cabinets that need refinishing.those are just the speakers that i have needing work .theres also amplifiers and other related gear that i hope to get to someday as well.
 
fwiw im no woodworker but luckily i have a cousin who is a expert cabinet maker and when i get around to getting a enclosure made for the altec ill be getting him to make it.
