Saw some Jensen Model 4 speakers at a yard sale down the street. 10 inch woofer, cloth covered midrange, Aluminum bodied soft dome tweeter. Air suspension. Looks like 70's styling. Just wondering if anyone has heard these. The cabs are pretty much trashed, the midrange controls are seized, But are the drivers anything worth hanging on to for a project???

one of my favorite speakers. bright mids , warm top end ,and good bass extension.
much more refined than the "70's rock'n'roll" speakers they get confused with....
much more articulate than those pioneers and kenwoods of the time ... think more advent or avid .

walnut veneer cabs . solid, braced construction . big alnico mag'd dome tweeters .
i had a pair w/ ceramic woofers, another had alnico.
certainly will need a refoam . i used the standard $1.49 foams from MAT ,and they
came out great . for 10 bones, i'd grab 'em.
