Jensen System B Can they really sound as good as they do?

What would you like me to ask him? I believe he was the designer for that whole line, I know he was also the designer of the System C.. In fact he still uses a pair of those he says.

I turned up the volume too high a few times, and I need to find a new front tweeter, and a new rear one. Also, I am pretty sure a L-pad is fried. so, if he has any knowledge of replacement tweeters, l-pads, or anything else he thinks I might have hurt, I would love to hear. of course, a schematic would be great. Does he think they need new caps put in? Like I said before, I have had these over 25 years, and I plan on restoring them to original condition.

You have made me really want to get a pair of System B. Is the foam rotten on yours? mine seem like they are still hanging in there.

Happy, He said other than the woofer (especially in the "B" which was a custom design) the drivers are pretty straight forward for replacement or rebuild. And he has no clue as to replacement supplies. (He's been retired from the industry for quite a while) We are on our own for finding parts...

Anyway.. as a followup.. if anyone cared.. I found the issue with the mid Bass driver... Not the driver. Popped solder point. pictured. Fixed now. now all I need to do is re-foam, fine a couple replacement screws/hardware, Swap out the terminals.. Just tooooo small Or I could consider mini plugs... and then fresh grill cloth. and MAYBE custom stands to replace what is there an add about a foot of height...

Anyway. Couple pix of the crossover and woofer. I'm telling ya,.. that crossover is significant, .. and it's kinda cool to see "issue 1. 0" on the board for whatever that's worth.

I just got a pair of System Bs and someone worked on them previously and removed 3 coils and 2 caps from the crossover. I'm not sure why. All of the drivers are working and I ordered new foam for the 6" & 12 " drivers. I'm hoping to find the ratings for the missing coils and caps so that I can restore them to original specs. I can't wait to hear them restored. Here's a pic of the what the original crossover should look like from Mountain1's thread on AK....
