I was expecting it to take longer to arrive from Japan since the JICO web site said the SAS stylus was special order but my JICO stylus arrived today and I was excited to get it installed on my Technics trifecta (turntable/tonearm/cartridge). Removing the old stylus I installed the new JICO SAS stylus on my Technics cartridge and did the complete cartridge setup routine, balance arm/tracking weight etc. The new stylus was a perfect fit in the intergrated Technics cartridge. After setup played maybe three albums and made a readjustment for overhang and hit it on the nail. The new JICO SAS stylus was sounding excellent with little breakin time. For around $97 the JICO SAS stylus is a lot of bang for the buck and will bring back a vintage cartridge to at least equal if not better than the original stylus. Reading the specs from JICO they used all the same original materials as Technics did and it sure sounds like it. Bottom line is the JICO SAS replacement stylus are the best aftermarket replacement stylus on earth at any price. I'll be sending the original Technics stylus to SoundSmith for a rebuild and have it as a backup to the JICO.

G'day mate, yes the Jico SAS stylus is tops! I'm presently playing some J.S. Bach organ recordings off a Readers Digest compilation with my Shure M97xE with its Jico SAS stylus, and the sound quality is both stunning and musical! :thmbsp: :music: Regards, Felix aka catman.

I have a Jico SAS on my Shure M91ED, and a Jico Shibata on my Stanton 681EEE.

From the time I ordered on line till the time the letter carrier delivered it to me today it wasn't much over a week from Japan. Shipping was $10, excellent secure packaging. Stylus came with literature describing stylus and recommended tracking weight that is the same as the original Technics cartridge. The only visual difference is the JICO stylus body is plain back, no lettering/numbers, the original Technics stylus body was gold/black with lettering/numbers. It would of been next to impossible to find a NOS Technics stylus since it was mfg starting in 1980 and was fairly high up in the Technics cartridge pecking order. I have a few decent cartridges but I really wanted this one since this was the Technics recommended cartridge with intergrated headshell to go with my EPA tonearm. All I can say is that it is a perfect match and Technics put togeather a system back then that would be difficult to match today.
 
I have two of these and highly reccomend

For my Shure V15-VI I have JICO VN45HE STYLUS non SAS

and for Shure V15-xMR I have JICO Super Analogue Stylus VN5xMR
