John Lennon's receiver?

I came across this listing that advertised John Lennon had a Sony STR-6120.
Incredulous, I looked at the listing, which had already ended, and sure enough.

Photo shows John on his bed playing what looks like a Fender Strat with a Sony STR-6120 alongside, halfway out of frameview.
