RIP 2022
Wanted to publically thank AK Subscriber JohnMac for a recent transaction. Purchased an Akai GX635D from him from a Barter Town posting. Quick negotiations and the deal was done. Very fair pricing indeed. The deck was packed well and shipped quickly. The deck was in mint condition when it arrived. Not a blemish to be found. Set it up, played a tape forwards and reverse. Put it through a few other functional tests. Sounded great. Worked well. Went to play a second tape. Deck lights flickered and then nothing. FF worked no rewind, play etc. Only FF. John stepped up and offered to cover the cost of the repair. He posted the dilemma in the Tape forums and consistently kept in touch with me while the deck went off to a local tech for repair. The repair was simple and relatively inexpensive. Happy to report I am back up and running. John, appreciate the transaction, your integrity and would definitely conduct business with you again. Just wanted the folks here to know. :thmbsp:

Just got the tapes and its the first time i used a NOS on my RTR.
