Jolida fusion pre vs Freya +

Currently, I have bitfrost2–Jolida Fusion pre with upgraded tubes—aegir1 SE—Klipsch Heresy 4. Would switching to a Freya running in Tube mode likely be a sideways move.

I understand there to be a large difference in gain, 6db for the Freya SE, 20DB for the Jolida (the
Jolida rating doesn’t state whether it is it balanced or SE, so maybe the gain SE is like 14db] in this setup am I likely to have to little gain with the Freya, or too high gain with the Jolida? (I get a little noise sometimes currently with the Jolida and the sensitive speakers and wonder if the gain might be too high.)

thanks.

I'm sure the Freya+ matches well with the Aegir, I do remember the original Freya was not recommended by Jason for high sensitivity speakers due to the possible noise, but they fixed that with the +. I haven't heard any of the new Jolida models to comment.

When you say "I get a little noise", is this at listening levels or turn to max gain with no signal?

I also have a Jolida Fusion pre with some distortion and some loss of volume in one channel… trying to figure it out
