Inherited a pair of old Wharfedale W70s (from ca. 1961) that have been refurbished. I was thinking of driving them with tubes but I’m wary of the hazards of a really old amp. Stumbled on the Jolida while searching around online, and I’m intrigued. Anyone have opinions on this amp, and/or on whether it’s a suitable match for my W70s?

I've read a few posts where users are having issues with these, mainly the auto bias feature. I'd look for a used Jolida 102b, or amp with similar power push-pull EL84.

I've got the more powerful Jolida JD 502CRC and have had some of the lower powered Jolida integrated on the way amps getting here, and am a huge fan.
Mine does the Quad of 6550 tubes (60-75w/ch) and can step up to the KT120 or KT 150s. I'm running it with a modifed pair of (Heathkit) Valencias - fairly efficient.
Like you, I wanted something newer without all the issues of aged caps and such from a vintage amp.
Also, it has a remote for power on/off, mute, and volume - SUPER-handy!
