I just acquired a Jolida JD 402 Tuner and I have searched here and on the interweb and can find almost nothing about this tuner. I contacted Jolida, now known as Black Ice, and they have nothing in archive (owners manual, service manual, etc..) available. Anyone out there have one of these that can share some info or possibly a copy of the owners manual? Thanks.

I have never encountered one but based on the specs, the RF performance is nothing special. It could sound superb on local stations but if you have a distant station you like to listen to, especially if there is another, more powerful station on the same frequency, you will get interference. You may have issues with multipath distortion. (caused by reflections from large buildings.)

It could sound superb on local stations

That’s my hope. I live in a more rural area away from downtown so multipath usually isn’t an issue. What intrigues me about it is the tube output section and the price was right.

From the brief reply I did get from Jolida/Black Ice, I gathered they did not sell a lot of these units back when they were available. They indicated they were somewhat rare.

Since you have it wouldn’t listening with it answer your questions

That's the plan once I get it in my hands. Purchased through the auction site and waiting for it to arrive. Always nice to get little extra info and I am hoping someone else might have an owner's manual or other documentation since it was sold without it.
