I finally got to sit down and hear a pair. Boy do they have potential. But the dealer who will remain nameless in Houston Texas had them set up all wrong. Against a wall and not in corners for one. Using an older Marantz SS HT amp with. a Nad Digital pre-amp with which you could only stream Yuk YUK. YUK!!!!!!! The bass was strong down deep below 50 HZ bit there was a whole in the response from about 50 to 100 HZ and way to much around 150 HZ. The midrange was glaring around 2000HZ and the highs were thin above 7. KHZ or so.

Now a friend of mine who had 2 or three, used tube amps and preamps, had his on display in corners said the response was very smooth and really. didn't need voicing in his demo room,

But from what I heard I would say that the Jubilee set up properly is the best Horn loaded speaker system I have ever heard. Especially for a two way. system. I have never heard a horn system produce bass below 40 HZ like a Jubilee. The Jubilee was easily. out classed the JBL 67000 that costs twice as much now days and doesn't have near the dynamic capability of a Jubilee.

So any of you. guys who have the space and a softer room and own anything Altec, EV, JBL or Klipsch. and want a definite up grade go listen to a pair of Jubilees. The have plenty of potential if set up correctly. Remember I am the line array guy. If I weren't on a fixed income I just might trade my up graded Concert Grands for a pair of Jubilee. But then what would I use for a center channel? I know, a Belle! With Jubilees who needs a subwoofer or two or 4!!!!

Perhaps in the future you might take acoustic measurements in-room (e.g., REW, etc.) to calibrate your own hearing (and not just report your favorite subjective impressions of what you think is occurring). That especially includes relative amplitude band response. A tonally unbalanced loudspeaker easily fools even the most experienced subjective listeners in terms of what it's doing correctly (and otherwise) in-room.

Also, note that Heritage Jubilees (the second-gen models of the Jubilee) are EQed via the Klipsch-supplied DSP box to be placed well away from room walls by at least 6 feet in all directions (except down). Otherwise there will be way too much bass response below 70 Hz that will unbalance the entire listening experience.
