Jumpers on the back of Sansui 2000X and speaker pairing

A good buddy gave me his ole Sansui 2000X. I had it completely rebuilt by an audio shop down by me and noticed when I was hooking up my speakers the jumpers in the back. Is that for using an external preamp? And if I wanted to do that would it sound good using a hybrid tube Shiit Vali2?

Also I was wondering about speaker pairings with this amp. I bought a set of early 90s Cambridge Soundworks Tower II’s on the marketplace earlier this year that I was using with my Pioneer VSX D307 and have been using these with my 2000X. I also have a pair of Sansui 2500’s from the same
Dude who gave me the 2000X. Would these pair better with this amp? I haven’t tried them out yet with it.

Howdy.
You can use either the preamp section or the main amp, your choice. You could hook it to a Krell FPB-600 Amp, the Sansui would go merrily along if in good health.

There's also other things that could be done here as well. Some back in the day and whatnot would choose to add an Equalizer in this loop.

Try it either way, just make sure you have common knowledge about how to use such.

A lot of time these types of questions are asked by folks who are in the process of or are thinking of acquiring a particular unit.

In your case you already have these units (not sure about the Schitt) in your possession not trying to be a jerk or anything but hook the speakers up and give them a listen same with Shiit Vali2 if you indeed own it and let your ears be the judge.
