just acquired..MA6200 + pair of XR14 speakers

Won't go into the story 'cause I am still shaking in my boots on this. Anyway, the original owner said the amp (MA6200) just stop working one day so he put it away. I end up with it (along with original sales invoice, owners manuals, etc).BTW, he bought it new December 12,1980
The only thing that I found OBVIOUSLY wrong was the fuse holder for the turntable circuit was broken! Sooo maybe with a little TLC I can replace this piece and will have moved myself upward on the audio food chain .
But then again, caution prevails and I ask of the AKers if there are other precautions I should take before powering up. Again, I am dealing with a one owner, been in the same house since new unit. I even had trouble finding dust on my fingertip after removing the top plate for inspection.

I'm sure others will chime in. Check all the fuses, look under the cover for any burnt parts. The standard around here is to plug the MA6200 into a dim bulb tester, turn it on, if the light bulb glows brightly for longer than a second, turn it off immediately. Otherwise, play around with source selector, and tape monitor switches.
