Just purchased this as my starter table! I've been a huge fan of Harmon/Kardon ever since I bought my Soundsticks III for my computer and when I was looking at going retro to make a rather cheap entry-level setup, I couldn't resist this guy, the T30c. It seems like a quality little semi-auto table for just over $100 and I love the look of the thing, especially because I wanna get an h/k 330c receiver/amp too.

Does anyone have any experience with these things? I did my research but I figured I'd ask if anyone personally has one.

Also does anyone know much about the cartridge? It's a Grado MT+, and from what I understand it's the older model of their entry level cartridge. I've heard some good things about it but overall it's been hard to find info about. I know it can take modern Grado styluses though. The seller said the cart and stylus sound good but they don't know how long they've been in use. Would it be worth replacing if I'm on a kinda tight budget or should I just roll with it? I kinda like the look of it and the fact that it's retro.

Congrats on getting the T30C, and I hope you find the receiver. I have been a big fan of H/K for a long time. I bought my first audio system and it consisted of a H/K receiver. However, I cannot remember which model I had. Sidney Harman was a genius way before his time. His tube amps are some of the most coveted amps today. H/K is very underrated here and do not get the respect they should. Take good care of them and service them when needed, and they will last you the rest of your life.

thanks! would you happen to know when this turntable was released? I think it's late 70s - early 80s but I'm not sure. There's a lot more info online about h/k receivers than there is info about h/k tables.
 
I cannot find anything. You can usually find out on Vinyl Engine. My guess would be late 70s or 80s. Others might chime in who know.
 
I had a T30 or 35C, can't remember, but they are very nice tables. You'd be hard pressed to get anything better for $100.

Have you checked the prices of the 55C to 65c lately on that auction site, even the "lower" models have jumped.

Pretty sure the T series came out in 1983.
