Just curious, what is this thing?

I ran across this on another web page, and I am just curious what it is. Not trying to sell or buy it, just wanted to know what a distribution tube amp is used for?

My guess, and It's a guess.

Is that it is a mono amp that was used to provide sound to multiple rooms, maybe like a restaurant or such.

Right. I used to see those things in use in motels, etc. that had a central antenna with lots of TV's connected to them. Not for audio use, but rare to see today.
