Just put together home office system (pics)

Mmmm Britishy.
Well, i finally got my Marantz 1060 clean enough and prepped to install in my home office system.

Also, made a nice cable to go from my audio out on my G5 to the 1060 as well as terminated a short set of Audioquest Crystal speaker cables to mate the 1060 to the Infinity Reference 1's.

My brother in law had this amp and I listened to man a nice tune
with him on it during my teens.
Boy that amp brings back the memories, "Uriah Heep, Camel, Alan Parsons,
Tangerine Dream".

Yeah, it sounds pretty nice. Actually shocking how detailed and clean it sounds yet still has a nice warmth to it. Doesnt hurt that it looks nice too

Very nice looking! :thmbsp: :thmbsp:

my only suggestion is to place stands under the speakers so they are near ear level, and toe them in a bit so they are aimed just outside your ears.

I had occasion to set a pair of similarly sized speakers in a similar near field environment, and it really helped the sound staging and base reception, especially at lower volumes.

(I could get satisfactory sound without unduly disturbing my office mate, and without the system being audible outside the office door)

Thanks for the tip. The speakers are currently at ear level and with the dispertion baffle design they tend to have too narrow of a soundstage when they are toed in since they are only about 3 1/2 feet apart.

Thanks for looking guys

that reminds me of my MARANTZ 2015 setup in my office with a pair of minumus 7w's on stands CRAP the kids killed off the batteries in my digital camera or you could have a pic maybe later

I was about to recommend that you aim the speakers up a little bit so that the tweeters are aimed at your ears, but then I looked more closely at the photos -- nice, you already did!
