It was on "buy it now" at eBay for $325 with a lot of watchers and I among others got an email offer to sell it for $225. I counter offered with $200 and they accepted,I think I did pretty well, been looking at them for quite a while and they ask crazy money for these all the time.
This one is complete down to the original box it came in and has extra parts.
I'm pretty excited as I have hundreds of dirty records to clean,I also bought 100 new anti static Diskeeper sleeves to get me started and a record drying stand.
Now I have lots of work to do while listening. lol

Just added another piece, bid on one of these and was outbid yesterday,it sold for $85.
This morning I find the same kit with a buy it now of $65 so I snagged it.
I had a discwasher brush but not the whole kit,now I have it all.

Maintenance accessories are rarely if ever the big audio star, but they allow the stars to shine brighter. I’ve been using the same DiscWasher set since the late 70s. A good friend lent me his Nitty Gritty long enough to clean my entire collection, they do the job well. Enjoy your new toolset.

Had you made an offer already? I've read a couple of times that sellers don't get watcher's IDs.
Is that incorrect?

No I hadn't so I was a bit surprised to get an offer in an email and it was $100 less than the buy it now price.
I counter offered $25 less for an even $200 and then started second guessing myself thinking someone else is going to jump on it at $225 and maybe I should have just gone for it.
I checked my email again and there it was, offer accepted. Bam!

Congrats. That's a nice buy.

I also have a Nitty Gritty. Bought new at a pretty good price off eBay several years ago. It has been a good machine and I've cleaned quite a few albums. One thing I've noticed is that mine can get fairly warm. My practice is to do a few albums and then let it rest and cool down for awhile before doing any more.

Thanks for the heads up,I don't plan on any marathon cleaning sessions and wouldn't have the time if I wanted to anyway.
I'll probably do about a half dozen at a time then zap them with the zero-stat and put them in the new sleeves.
Time to start buying more records as I go along as well (you can never have too many right?),just bought one I've wanted a long time and probably paid too much($32.26 with WA sales tax added ) but is supposed to be in pristine condition and I wanted it so WTF. lol

Here is a classic double album from my collection offered up for sale: Legendary singers sweet Ella Fitzgerald and raspy Louis Armstrong in their 1959 collaborative 2 lp album "Porgy And Bess". This is a 1st pressing by Verve Records 4011 (Mono), has heavy vinyl w black labels and silver lettering, gatefold cover with booklet. Jazz backing band features Louis heartfelt trumpet, piano, bass and drums, songs "Summertime", "It Ain't Necessarily So", "My Man's Gone Now" and more, great story album!
The vinyl grades strong VG, are both clean and glossy, have several faint sleeve marks and a few light marks and only disc 1 has a couple small more moderate ones, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays very good from start to finish, clear sound with light background pops and some more moderate ones but no skips or jumps and a very enjoyable listen!
The cover rates strong VG+, is clean and bright, has great colors with no ring wear, top seam split was neatly re-glued, no tape, all other seams excellent, no signatures or writing, the booklet is clean and bright, center pages came loose from the original staples. (see all photos)

Will be shipped in a .3 ml plastic sleeve in a record mailing box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in paper sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits. This item will be double boxed for extra protection. "

Now get yourself a SpinClean for wet washing and combine it with the NG for the near ultimate vinyl cleaning experience.
Never heard of using both, interesting concept.
When I was researching cleaners ,the consensus seemed to be that the spin clean worked ok and was less money but the Nitty Gritty was the better machine.
