I do live for music - listen to it constantly, and life seems empty without good tune going in the background even when I am not actively listening (which I do as well)...

Changing your gear will do nothing to ameliorate the truly abysmal speaker positions you have.

You know, I don't care how good those speakers sound (when well placed) or how well-engineered that rack is. Neither one should be considered for ONE SECOND as candidates for use in a main living room, in which decor aesthetics are of great importance.

The dang speakers look like Daleks!
