JVC AL-A151 turntable cartridge recommendations

Hello AK world! Picked up a JVC AL-A151 turntable for 40 bucks. Works perfectly. It has an Audio Technica 1001 on it, but looking to upgrade it. Would like to stay under $100. Appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

I am assuming this turntable has a tonearm that accepts P mount cartridges. There are many, many P mount cartridges on the used market, some are really good quality. You might look at the ADC P mounts, as well as Sonus and Technics, in addition to the more common ones from Shure and Audio Technica. Maybe best to stay with the ones that have commonly available stylus replacements.

That is correct. It is a p mount. Thank you for the suggestions!
