JVC JA s31 integrated amp

Hi All,

I was wondering if you can give me some advise. Today, I saw a JVC Ja S31 intergraded amp with its matching FM/AM tuner at a local Thrift Shop. They were asking high for the pair. But wanted to know how is this amp? sound, performance, etc..Has anymore own one before. Could not find much info on line just that it was made around 1978 79..so I'm looking for your experience.

I don't know what these are worth today, but I believe these are fairly common amps.

I like the ol' JVC integrateds (and their tuners, too), but they're not terribly "collectible" and that's a pretty low-end example of same to boot. Maybe 25 to 35 smackers' worth of amplifier in decent condition and working order.
